chopped onions 1/2 cup
ginger 1 chunk, sliced
star anise 3
cinnamon stick 1
regular soy sauce 4 tbsp
dark soy sauce 2 tbsp
dou-ban 1 tbsp
salt 1 teaspoon

2. soak chili peppers

3. blanche beef

4. saute with oil, chili, pepper corns, minced onion

5. add beef and saute

6. add in the broth

7. add in ginger, star anise, and cinnamon stick
   
   add soy sauce, dark soy sauce, douban and salt
